I can’t see anymore, what might wait there, what monsters or miracles, terrible and beautiful, glide all around me…
there is only that instant… when it returns… and I know such warmth again… when understanding dawns.
a chance come round again,
well-earned and willing,
to sing a new song,
wonderful and wise…
the fires burning quietly, this constellation of small stars surrounding me,
fallen to earth below…
It’s helped me remember that times come and go in life, including those creative peaks and valleys.

showing itself ever… only a tender cocoon… readying us for the life… yet to come.
for an endless instant,
to stop, this miracle in motion,
nature’s hidden, fragile light,
beautiful and boundless…
