I’m really enjoying writing these very short poems for Instagram, and thought I would start sharing them here, too. I know not everyone has time for, or wants, another social media experience.
But I found a great app, Phonto, that lets me merge my photography with my poems (I’m a bit late to the party on this, I’m sure).
I tried this process years ago, too, before everything went digital and photography was still a film-based medium. With all the steps involved back then, it took a lot more time to produce something, and there were virtually no platforms on which to share work, either.

I've never really liked labels, I am this, I am that. But in the interest of introducing myself, I can say that I am many things: nurse, writer, photographer, poet, painter, gardener, friend, armchair philosopher, counselor, nature lover, home makeover aficionado, movie buff, practicing yogi, and aspiring world traveler. I think that's a pretty good list for now. I want to become a bigger part of the vital, creative force I feel deeply at work in the world and connect with other people who want to do the same.
