Out at my small pond the local wildlife are finally showing up. Snakes, turtles, frogs and the fish are awake and hungry. Fortunately, there are lots of bugs to go around, too. The black flies and mosquitoes have been numerous this year already; usually they don’t show up until June or so. But the relatively mild winter has allowed a lot of things to thrive, it seems. Yesterday was beautiful, sunny and over 70 degrees. I spent some time taking pictures of all the critters I discovered on my walk, like this frog, who posed rather calmly while getting his picture taken.
Gorgeous early summer capture….He didn’t turn into a prince for you? 😊
