Now is the time when the cobalt blue bells of Scilla sprout up everywhere around the farm. There are hundreds of blossoms in the most unlikely places-scrabbling between rocks and tree roots, among others- with more coming every year.
Spreading by seed, the winds blow their tiny offerings far and wide. So much so they can eventually cover acres, given enough time. But like most good things they don’t last long. So now is the time when I excitedly grab my camera to capture their brief, unique beauty.
