LAST THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

“Only those who have felt the knife
Can understand the wound;
Only the jeweler
Knows the nature of the jewel.”

A Work In Progress

I've never really liked labels, I am this, I am that. But in the interest of introducing myself, I can say that I am many things: nurse, writer, photographer, poet, painter, gardener, friend, armchair philosopher, counselor, nature lover, home makeover aficionado, movie buff, practicing yogi, and aspiring world traveler. I think that's a pretty good list for now. I want to become a bigger part of the vital, creative force I feel deeply at work in the world and connect with other people who want to do the same.

Taking my first #modelhorse painting class from the amazingly talented artist @equineartbyheatherbullach … these are my two projects for class and my inspiration pic, we are learning techniques for creating black in #oilpainting … it’s also @namopaimo month, and I’m happy to be participating for my first time ever! 😊
A beautiful #mistymorning just before Christmas, I couldn’t resist taking pictures of the #raindrops dangling from the #tree branches
I’m very happy that two of the really wonderful shy #cats I helped socialize at the #catshelter were adopted this week. I wish Jericho and Sarah the best, happy lives in their new homes 😊
A very happy #thanksgiving to all, from me, all my #squirrels and Tammy the #turkey who has made herself at home in my yard
A great and oddly warm November day for a #hike around #moreaulake but #theview at the end was worth it 😊
These #photographs are part of series I took at #fortticonderoga here in the #adirondacks of #upstateny and the first one, titled “Down the Barrel,” was recently selected for an upcoming juried show. I’m super excited to be a part of the @larac_arts #gallery for this show 🤗
